Here is a way for you to get students thinking about relevant content. Authentic learning experiences are great ways for students to think critically, and it gives the facilitator the opportunity to provide support and to assess the student learning.
You can facilitate activities, such as this, by using technology or using paper and pencil. I have done both, but if you post the repair order on an open source website, such as a Google doc, the students can work collaboratively and provide feedback and support. This also allows you to contribute while the students are working. You can also use Thinglink for other learning experiences. Students can interact with documents, pictures, or other graphics. You could even have the students create their own annotations rather than providing the annotations for them. Just another way for the students to construct their own learning. |
